Cutting Internal Pipe and Shaft

HyDrill internal pipe and pile cutting systems can be used to sever capped or tipped support pipe at any elevation above or below the mud line without excavation.

I.D. cutters are ideal for use in situations where access is limited or impossible and or when conditions exist that make placing personnel below the surface an undesirable alternative.

The abrasive waterjet “cold cutting” system delivers faster completions than do traditional thermal based manual cutting methods. The process is minimally invasive and can be used when nominal disruption to the mud is preferable.

Tools are quickly deployed from the surface to any specified elevation. Standard rigging allows depths of 50 feet to be obtained without modification.

HyDrill tools are lift able and occupy a small footprint. They are easily deployed on floating platforms, soil, or bridge deck curb. The power pack used to generate high pressure water should be placed within 25-50 foot of the cutting operation.

Typical tool configurations utilize
dual cutting nozzles reducing rotational requirements to 180° reducing the process cutting time by 50% making the internal cutting procedure a very fast, efficient and cost effective solution for the removal of temporary pipe which cannot simply be pulled.

Pipe diameters from 12 to 180 inches can be internally severed. Inquiries concerning pricing, availability, or feasibility should be directed to HyDrill applications.
